DAY 01
Journey
- Arrival at the Bandaranayake International Airport. Transfer to your hotel located in Habarana
Sightseeing
- Halfway to Habarana, there is an amazing UNESCO sight not to miss: Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest painted complex of caves in the world
- Overnight stay at Habarana. The hub of the cultural triangle

DAY 02

- Drive from Habarana to Anuradhapura
Sightseeing
- The ruins of Anuradhapura are one of South Asia’s most evocative sights. The sprawling complex contains a rich collection of archaeological and architectural wonders: enormous dagobas (brick stupas), ancient pools and crumbling temples, built during Anuradhapura’s thousand years of rule over Sri Lanka. Today, several of the sites remain in use as holy places and temples
- You will visit some of the major sites such as:
- Sri Maha Bodhi
- Isurumuniya
- Samadhi Sthupa
- Mihintale and proceed to Habarana

DAY 03
Journey
- Drive from Habarana to Polonnarwa
Sightseeing
- After your breakfast visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa which was a royal capital of both the Chola and Sinhalese kingdoms for three centuries. Today’s archaeological park is a delight to explore, with hundreds of ancient structures, temples and statues
- Go for a village tour in beautiful Hiriwadunna Village. Experience travelling on a bullock cart, a walk in the paddy fields and a boat ride to get to the village. Have a delicious authentic Sri Lankan lunch cooked in a village home

DAY 04
Journey
- Drive from Habarana to Kandy
Sightseeing
- In the morning at about 7.00 am climb the enormous Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the eighth wonder of the world
- After that proceed to Kandy
- En route visit the incredible Matale Hindu Temple
- Visit the impressive golden roofed Temple of Tooth in Kandy, one of the most sacred shrines in the whole country
- Enjoy a cultural show in the evening
