With 4* colonial hotels, working tea factories to visit as well as a golf club and a racecourse, Nuwara Eliya is a place to really gain a feel for colonial times. With Lake Gregory and an entertaining schedule of events (particularly in April season when locals from Colombo arrive to escape the heat), Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy life in the ‘home of tea’.
- Pickup from your hotel in Colombo at 5.00am and drive to Nuwara Eliya via Hatton which will take less than 6 hours( traveling hours can be changed due to traffic)
- Visit Devon and St Clairs waterfalls
- Take a lot of beautiful pictures while you drive through the Tea fields
- Visit the Pink post office, Gregory lake and Nuwara Eliya City
- Have your lunch at “Calamander Lake”
- After lunch visit a working tea factory “Damro Labookellie Tea Factory”
- Visit the Ramboda waterfalls
- Travel back to your hotel via Kandy which will take less 6.5 hours( traveling hours can be changed due to traffic) and drop you at your hotel
