DAY 01

Journey
  • Arrival at the Bandaranayake International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in NegomboΒ  Β 
Sightseeing
  • Relax at your hotel after a long flight
  • In the evening go for a city tour in Negombo including the fishing village

DAY 02

Journey
  • Drive from Negombo to Sigiriya
Sightseeing
  • En route visit the Millennium Elephant Foundation and watch baby elephants being fed and then have lunch while watching elephants being bathed in the nearby river
  • Halfway to Habarana, there is an amazing UNESCO sight not to miss: Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest painted complex of caves in the world

DAY 03

Journey
  • Drive from Sigiriya to Anuradhapura
Sightseeing
  • You will begin to explore the sites in the greatest monastic city.
  • Visit:
      • Sri Maha Bodhi
      • Isurumuniya
      • Samadhi Sthupa
      • Mihintale and etc.. and proceed to Sigiriya

DAY 04

Journey
  • Drive from Sigiriya to Polonnarwa
Sightseeing
  • After your breakfast visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Known as Sri Lanka’s splendid medieval capital
  • After lunch go for a JeepΒ safari atΒ Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park/Eco Hurulu Park where you canΒ see over 50 wild elephants go to the reservoir as the sun goes down. Come back to Sigiriya for the overnight

DAY 05

Journey
  • Drive from Sigiriya to Kandy
Sightseeing
  • In the morning at about 7.00 am climb the enormous Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The eighth wonder of the world
  • After that proceed to Kandy
  • En route visit the incredible Matale Hindu Temple
  • Visit the impressive golden roofed Temple of Tooth in Kandy, one of the most sacred shrines in the whole country

DAY 06

Sightseeing
  • Have an early breakfast to for trekking at Knuckles at about 5.30 in the morning which is also called as Dumbara mountain range located off Kandy, and the range is one of the loveliest nature attractions of Sri Lanka
  • Enjoy a cultural show in the evening

DAY 07

Journey
  • Drive from Kandy to Adam’s Peak
Sightseeing
  • Head to the picturesque royal botanical gardens before you proceed to Adam’s Peak
  • On the way to Adam’s Peak go for white water rafting at Kithulgala River. This will be a fascinating experience to the water sport enthusiasts
  • Have a good night sleep in your hotel

DAY 08

Journey
  • Drive from Adam’s Peak to Nuwara Eliya
Sightseeing
  • Climb Adam’s Peak at about 2.00 am to see the sunrise. Adam’s Peak is known as the most important pilgrimage site and the most sacred mountain in Sri Lanka
  • After relaxing at your hotel proceed to Nuwara Eliya
  • En route visit St. Clair’s and beautiful Devon Falls

DAY 09

Sightseeing
  • Visit the Horton Plains at about 5.30 in the morning through the misty mountains and don’t forget to pack your breakfast to have by the famous Bakers Falls (8 km walk)
  • Visit a working tea factory to see how tea is made. Enjoy the real taste of a Ceylon Tea Cup
  • Explore the gorgeous little England in the evening including the pink post office (one of the oldest post offices in Sri Lanka) in Nuwara Eliya whichΒ isΒ housed within a beautiful Tudor mansion; complete with spires and a clock tower

DAY 10

Journey
  • Drive from Ella to Nuwara Eliya via train
Sightseeing
  • Experience an amazing train journey to Ella which take you through stunning landscapes of green and lush tea plantations and panoramic mountain view that you will be amazed by
  • Go for a lovely walk on the glorious Nine Arch Bridge located in between Ella and Demodara train stations is one of the engineering marvels in the early 20th century

DAY 11

Sightseeing
  • Enjoy a trek at the little Adam’s Peak to see the sunrise
  • Visit the Halpewatta Tea Factory where you will experience the art of tea tasting and manufacturing
  • Visit the fabulous Ella Gap
  • Experience an amazing cooking class in Ella to learn about Sri Lankan traditional food and recipes

DAY 12

Journey
  • Drive from Ella to Udawalawa
Sightseeing
  • Have your breakfast in Ella and proceed to Udawalawa
  • Stop by Ravana Falls
  • Visit the ancient Buduruvagala Temple
  • Go for an evening jeep safari at Udawalawa National Park where you can see hundreds of elephants roam free

DAY 13

Journey
  • Drive from Udawalawa to Yala
Sightseeing
  • Visit the elephant transits home to see the orphaned baby elephants and proceed to Yala
  • Get your camera batteries fully charged as we will head out for a wonderful jeep safari at Yala National park where you might be lucky to see leopards but will definitely see crocodiles, elephants and many rare species of birds

DAY 14

  • Drive from Yala to Unawatuna

  • After breakfast drive to Unawatuna
  • En-route visit stilt fishermen, one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka (not real)
  • Visit Galle fort and Galle city
  • Visit a turtle farm to experience of the baby sea turtles release into the sea

DAY 15

Sightseeing
  • After breakfast Experience an idle bicycle tour in Unawatuna which is a unique and unrivalled bicycle routes to explore the verdant, lush, beautiful countryside around Galle

DAY 16

Journey
  • Drive from Unawatuna to Mirissa
Sightseeing
  • Go for whale and dolphin watching in Mirissa isΒ one of the most exciting water activities. MirissaΒ is the best placeΒ for whale and dolphin watching tour in Sri Lanka
  • Relax on the famous and the prettiest beach in Sri Lanka and travel back to Unawatuna

DAY 17

  • Drive from Unawatuna to Colombo

  • En route go on a wonderful boat ride down the Madu River which passes through the wet zone of Sri Lanka
  • Go for a city tour in the commercial capital of Sri Lanka including:
    • Kelaniya Rajamahaviharaya
    • Pettah Fort
    • Gangaramaya temple one of the oldest in Colombo
    • Independence Square is a national monument in Sri Lanka built for commemoration of the independence of Sri Lanka
    • National Museum
  • Enjoy a lovely seaside walk down to Galle Face Green where you will enjoy the sunset whilst flying a kite with the locals
